Unless specified otherwise, the code for this project is copyright 2006-2011 © Sudley Place Software, and is released as Free Software licensed under an agreement called the GNU General Public License, Version 3 or later.

However, some individual files are licensed separately, including, but not limited to, the following files:

Individual Files

• GNU Scientific Library (of which we use a subset): This collection of routines is described as "distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL)."
• Hash routines by Bob Jenkins: They are described in the initial comments in the file bjhash.c to be in the public domain.
• Wine library of Windows Emulation routines (of which we use a subset): The website says "The licensing terms are the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1."
• Numeric input/output conversion routines by David M. Gay: These two routines are licensed under the terms described in the initial comments in the two files dtoa.c and g_fmt.c.
• The SImPL medium font bundled with NARS2000 is Copyright (©) Amadeus Information Systems Limited, 1996-2004, Copyright (©) Phil Chastney, 2005-2008, and is licensed for distribution with NARS2000 only.
• The iniparser code is incorporated into this project via the MIT license as per the comment in the files iniparser.c, dictionary.c, and dictionary.h.
